Candice, also known as Serena Candice, is the inspiration behind my shop. My daughter was born in September of 2013, one month before the passing of my mother. After losing my own mother so soon after becoming a mother myself, I decided to leave my full time job to stay home and raise Serena. When she turned 2, I started up my small business from home and it has since flourished. My little girl, my muse, my everything. Candice was a very special woman's name. She also had a strong love for fashion. I wanted to honour that woman somehow, so I decided to give her name as a middle name to my precious daughter.

Since a young age, I have always had a strong love for fashion! Being of Italian descent, I tend to gravitate towards European fashion whenever possible. I can spot a European-designed piece of clothing from a mile away! I love the confidence that I feel when I put on a unique piece of clothing that comes from Italy or France! I wanted to share that love and passion with my fellow woman. While vacationing in Italy last September, I couldn't help but fall even more in love with the women's style! They exude so much beauty while walking through the streets of Rome and Florence. I wanted to bring that European vibe back home, and that is how Candice's Closet came to be!

My name is Pierina and I am an ex-elementary school teacher turned stay-at-home mother. A month after having my daughter, I sadly lost my own mother to cancer. That tragic experience changed my perspective on what a fulfilling life means to me, and so I decided to turn my passion for fashion into a side hustle while staying home to raise and homeschool my daughter. I never would have imagined 10 years ago when I first started this business that it would flourish into what it has currently become. I couldn't be happier, more honored and grateful to all of you, my loyal clients, family and friends, for your continued support throughout the years.
